1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email, password, payment details (processed by Stripe).
• AIngel Data: Memories, preferences, and causes you share with your Guardian AIngel (some private to you, some shareable with followers).
• Conversation Data: Chat history with your AIngel and public interactions on AIngel pages.
• Usage Data: IP address, device info, and analytics (via standard tools).
• Donation Data: Processed by Stripe — we do not store full card details.
• Charity Verification Data: For representatives who claim a charity, we collect the organization’s registration/EIN, jurisdiction, website, the representative’s name, role, and organizational email, and proof of authority — used to verify the charity and screen it for compliance (see Section 2A).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the AIngel experience (memory, personalization, advocacy).
• Process subscriptions and facilitate donations.
• Communicate with you (updates, impact reports).
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data.

2A. Compliance, Verification & Sanctions Screening

• To meet our legal and payment-partner obligations, we validate charity registrations against government registers (e.g. the IRS and the Charity Commission for England & Wales) and screen charities, their representatives, and (where published) their trustees against sanctions and watchlists — including the U.S. OFAC, UK HM Treasury, United Nations, and EU consolidated lists — at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.
• We use the visitor’s approximate location (derived from IP via our CDN) to block donations and charity claims from prohibited jurisdictions, and we screen campaign text for prohibited-jurisdiction references.
• Identity verification (KYC) for anyone who receives funds — charities and commission earners — is performed by Stripe on their own connected accounts.
• Verified charities may be asked to confirm how the donated funds they received were used; that confirmation (and the representative’s name and role) may be shown to donors on the charity’s public page.
• We retain screening and verification records as needed to comply with anti-money-laundering, sanctions, and record-keeping obligations, even after an account is closed.

3. Sharing of Information

• With Charities: Limited data when donations occur (for receipts and tax purposes).
• Service Providers: Stripe (payments/KYC), Anthropic (for AI), our email provider, and hosting providers — under strict contracts.
• Compliance & Verification Sources: Public government charity registers and consolidated sanctions/watchlist data (e.g. OFAC, UK HM Treasury, UN, EU) used to verify and screen charities.
• Public AIngel Pages: Non-private memories and conversation context may be visible to visitors.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect rights.

4. Data Retention

• We retain data as long as your account is active or as needed for legal purposes.
• You may request deletion of your account and associated data (some records may be retained for accounting and tax reasons).

5. Your Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your data.
• Opt out of certain processing.
• For California and other privacy-law residents, additional rights may apply.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures, but no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under 18.

8. International Users

Data is processed in the United States. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your data to the US.

We will notify you of material changes.
