Connecting Stripe payouts
Stripe is what actually pays your charity — this is the one part of My AIngel a third party handles directly, so it's worth 5–10 minutes to get right the first time.
What Stripe will ask for
- Your organization's legal name, exactly as registered with the IRS
- Your EIN (federal tax ID)
- Your organization's registered address
- A representative's full name, date of birth, home address, and the last 4 digits of their SSN
- A bank account in your organization's name
- Your website (we'll prefill this for you)
- Your organization's legal name, exactly as registered with the Charity Commission
- Your charity registration number
- Your organization's registered address
- A representative's full name, date of birth, home address, and a photo ID document
- A bank account in your organization's name
- Your website (we'll prefill this for you)
- Your organization's legal name, exactly as registered
- Your NPO or PBO registration number
- Your organization's registered address

Elsewhere in the world? The flow is the same shape — your legal name and registration number, a representative's identity, and a bank account in your organization's name. Stripe adapts the exact fields to your country automatically.
You can pause partway through and come back later — nothing is lost, and My AIngel's Payout account card always shows exactly what's still outstanding.
Common snags
Stripe checks your organization's legal name against what you enter — small differences (an abbreviation, a missing "Inc"/"Ltd", punctuation) can cause a mismatch. Use the exact name from your IRS/Charity Commission/NPO registration.
Stripe requires an actual director, trustee, or officer — not a volunteer or contractor with no formal role. This protects your charity from an unauthorized person controlling the account.
A personal bank account won't be accepted, even if it belongs to the representative. Donations settle to an account the organization itself controls.
If you ever see Stripe test data (like card number 4242 4242 4242 4242) in a real onboarding flow, stop — you're in the wrong mode. My AIngel only uses Stripe's live mode for real charities.
Once everything is submitted, Stripe reviews it — this routinely takes 1–2 business days, sometimes longer for a first-time nonprofit account. You don't need to do anything else while it's pending.
